1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups water or fruit juice
3 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
Pinch of salt
Food coloring and flavoring
1 tsp butter

Directions:

Cook until transparent
Cool and add fruit
Pour into a baked pie shell
Garnish with whipped cream and sliced almonds
