1 cup buttermilk
1tsp.soda
2 c. sugar
1 T. white Karo syrup
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Put buttermilk and soda in large pot and let stand 3 minutes. Add the sugar, syrup, and butter. Boil to firm ball stage stirring constantly (very important so that it doesn't burn). Add vanilla and nuts. Cool, then beat and pour into buttered pan.
