1/2 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated
1 1/2 c. buttermilk baking mix
3-4 tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Saute' sausage in medium skillet over medium-high heat breaking up with fork until browned and finely crumbled, about 7-10 minutes. Drain off excess fat. Transfer sausage to medium bowl and let cool slightly. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Form into 1-inch balls. Arrange on baking sheet. Bake until cheese is melted and puffs are lightly golden, about 10-12 minutes. Serve immediately. Makes about 2 dozen.
