1 lb butter
2 C. sugar
8 oz California Almonds
10 oz Chocolate bars
1 tsp. liquid lecithin

Directions:
Directions:
Grind or grate chocolate and nuts.
Put 1/2 of the ground almonds on a large cookie sheet, cover with 1/2 of the grated chocolate.
Melt butter in large (3qt) pan , add sugar & lecithin. Bring to boil, stirring gently, boil until candy thermometer reads 280º, candy turns the color of a brown paper bag.
Pour onto prepared pan (over almonds & chocolate)
sprinkle other 1/2 of chocolate on top of hot candy, then other 1/2 of almonds. Let cool 8 hours or overnight.

I make about 100 batches of this candy every year at Christmas time for friends and family. Taste it once and you will know why! It is very addicting!
