4 Tbsp shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
5 cups flour
3/4 cup milk
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup raw apples cut
or 1 cup drained cooked apples

Directions:
Combine all ingredients. Drop by teaspoon in hot fat - 375 degrees. Fry 3 minutes until golden brown. Roll in powdered sugar or a cinnamon / sugar mix.
