Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 cups milk
1 cup polenta/grits
4 oz. cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the milk and water. Bring to a boil, it will over flow almost immediately if it gets going on "Hi", so be warned. Turn down the heat to medium low.

Mix in the grits/polenta and stir constantly until they start to soak up the liquid. Once the grits have absorbed the liquid, similar to the way "cream of wheat does"

slice up the cheese roughly and mix it in with the heat on low. As soon as it is mixed in you are ready to eat this soul warming side. Hot sauce is good for this one.

A great side for any meal. I treat it like Mac and cheese, meaning sometimes it is the meal.
