1/3 c flour
1/3 c brown sugar
3/4 c peanut butter
1/3 c chopped peanuts
blend together with pie crust cutter, put on a cookie sheet and cook 8 -10 min at 325 stir and watch carefully

1 small pk instant vanilla pudding
1 1/2 c milk
mix then fold in 1 1/2 c cool whip

1 baked pie shell

after peanut butter mixture cools mix about 1/2 into pudding, put some peanut butter mixture on bottom of pie crust, then add pudding/peanut butter mixture and sprinkle the rest of the peanut butter mixture on top.

Sharla remembers: We were traveling to SLC and stopped in Hall, MT for a break, Grandma Linda went into a restaurant and ordered a piece of peanut butter pie. She asked for the recipe and they wouldn't give it to her so she ordered another piece of pie and ate it very carefully, analyzing each bite to come up with a recipe of her own. This is that recipe. When Linda moved to Hawaii, she added chocolate and macadamia nuts to her peanut butter pie!
