2 lbs. frozen hash browns
1/2 cup melted margarine or butter
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 101/2 oz. can cream chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
10 oz. grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups crushed cornflakes
1/4 cup melted margarine or butter

Directions:
Directions:
Defrost hash brown potatoes, combine in a large mixing bowl with 1/2 cup melted margarine. Season with salt and pepper. Add chopped onion, cream of chicken soup, dairy sour cream and grated cheese. Blend ingredients thoroughly. Pour into buttered 3 qt. casserole. Mix 1/4 cup melted margarine with cornflake crumbs. Sprinkle over potato mixture. Bake in 350º oven 45 min. *For an entree, add 2 cups cooked, diced chicken or ham to the potato mixture.
