1/2 lb. cooked, cleaned shrimp.
2 tbsp. butter.
2 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. evaporated milk.
1/3 c. water.
1 tsp. paprika.
1 c. cubed sharp cheddar cheese.
3 slices white bread cubed.
2tbsp. melted butter.
Grated Romano or Parmesan cheese.

Arrange the cooked shrimp on the bottom of a 1 quart casserole dish.
In saucepan, melt butter, add flour and gently cook over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the milk and water and stir until the sauce is thick and smooth. Add paprika and cheese and stir until cheese is melted. Pour sauce over shrimp. Toss the bread in some melted butter then spread it evenly over the top. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake at 400º for 20 minutes.
