4-6 Large Granny Smith Apples, peeled and chopped.
3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Flour
1 cup Rolled Oats (Quick Cooking or Old Fashioned)
1/2 cup Butter, Softened
3/4 tsp. Cinnamon
3/4 tsp. Nutmeg

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.
Place chopped apples in an 8x8 square baking pan.
Add Granulated Sugar, distributing evenly over apples and set aside. In a separate bowl, cream butter and add brown sugar, flour, oats, and spices until just combined. The mixture should be crumbly. Spread crumb mixture over apples. Place baking pan in oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until topping is golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
