3 sticks butter
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 Tbs. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preaheat oven to 375º.

Beat butter, sugar, vanilla extract and salt in a large bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour; stir in chopped nuts. Shape tablespoons of dough into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cookies are lightly browned. Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar over warm cookies. Cool for 10 minutes. When completely cooled, sprinkle with additional sugar if desired.
