1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Set aside:

2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together margarine, shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Using wooden spoon, mix flour mixture into creamed mixture until thick and smooth. Shape dough by rounded teaspoons into balls. Mix together 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Roll balls into sugar mixture. Bake 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400º.
