1 qt cold water
4 large onions - sliced
1 stick of butter
8 oz white wine
1 oz Jack Daniels (optional)
1/2 pint heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in melted butter until light brown or caramel color. Add wine and stir until the wine has evaporated. Add water and bring to a boil. Let the mixture simmer for about 20 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of onions from mixture. Puree the onion mixture. Add puree back to pot. Stir in heavy cream and Jack Danielsİ. Add salt and pepper to taste. When serving the soup, take the reserved onion mixture and place in center for decoration.
