1 pound lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 cup chopped onion
8 cups water
28 ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
6 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 cups southern style frozen hash brown potatoes
2 cups frozen peas and carrots

Directions:
Directions:
In soup kettle, brown meat with garlic and onion; pour off fat. Add water, tomatoes, bouillon and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered 20 minutes. Stir in potatoes, peas and carrots; cook uncovered 15 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender.

Serves 10.
