Filling for 8" pie shell:

Mix in saucepan: 1/2 cup sugar, 2 Tablespoons cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup cocoa.
Gradually stir in 2 cups milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and boils. Boil 1 minute, Remove from heat. Stir one half of hot mixture into 2 egg yolks slightly beaten.
Then blend into hot mixture in saucepan. Boil 2 minutes more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Blend in 2 Tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Pour into pie shell.
Top with Tall and Tender Meringue.
