4 quarts popped popcorn.
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup light or dark corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Spread popcorn in large shallow roasting pan. In heavy 1 1/2 quart saucepan, stir together sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till mixture boils. Continue cooking without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour syrup mixture over popcorn. Stir to coat well. Bake uncovered at 250° F oven for 1 hour. Stir occasionally. Cool, break apart. Store in tightly covered container.
