1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped dates
1 Tblsp. white corn syrup
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups rice krispies
1 cup flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in skillet. Stir in sugar, eggs, syrup, and dates. Cook over slow heat until thick, stirring constantly until mixture pulls away from sides of pan (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, nuts, and cereal.
Moisten hands with cold water and shape slightly cooled mixture into balls. Roll them in flaked coconut. Put on waxed paper. Store in tightly covered container.
