1 8 oz. package of dry green split peas
1 tsp. salt
4-6 C. water
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 stalk celery
2 potatoes, diced
1 ham steak, diced

Directions:
Directions:
Wash peas and place with 6 cups water, onion, ham and salt in large pot. Cook for about an hour and add potatoes. Cook until tender and peas become a thick, smooth mixture, @ 2-3 hours. Add water as needed if peas become too thick.
