3 cups of rhubarb cut to 1/2 inch
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 cups of dry oatmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Mix rhubarb and sugar and set aside. Mix together the rest of ingredients except oatmeal together until shortening is evenly distributed. Mix in oatmeal. Pat 2/3 of oatmeal mixture into 9x13 buttered pan. Spread rhubarb-sugar evenly over. Sprinkle remaining mixture over rhubarb. Bake at 400º for 25 minutes or until top is browned. Cool before cutting.
