1 lemon (rind,juice and pulp)
1 orange (but do not use the white)
1 1/2 lb. raisins
1 lb currants
2 lbs apples
1 lb sugar (2 cups)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp mace and nutmeg
2 tsp salt
1 lb suet (chopped)
1/4 lb mixed candied fruit

Chop apples and 1/2 raisins with food chopper. Mix all ingredients well and ripen for one month in a crock or glass jar. This freezes well. Make into pies or tarts.
