3/4 C. shortening
1/2 C. sugar
1, 3 oz. pkg. dry gelatin
1 tsp. food coloring
2 eggs
2 1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, dry gelatin and food coloring; (with cherry gelatin, use red coloring, lime with green, orange with orange etc.) Add eggs, combined dry ingredients and vanilla and beat until blended. Drop on cookie sheet. Butter the bottom of a water glass, dip in white or colored sugar and flatten cookies, or frost after baking with white icing and sprinkle with colored sugar. Bake at 350º for 8 to 10 minutes.
