Minnesota Chocolate Pie Recipe

Single pie crust (unbaked)
Filling:
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 T. flour
2/3 c. light corn syrup
2/3 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. margarine or butter
1/4 t. salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1 1 oz. packet of pre-melted baking chocolate
1/2 c. walnut pieces
1/4 c. mini chocolate chips
6 walnut halves

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 450º. For filling, combine sugars, flour, corn syrups, margarine, salt, eggs, vanilla and chocolate in large bowl. Blend well. Fold in nuts and chocolate pieces. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Top with nut halves.
Bake at 450º for 10 minutes. Reduce oven to 375º and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until filling is set in center, shielding top with foil if necessary to prevent over browning. Cool to room temperature and serve.

The original recipe called for 1/4 c. coconut which I eliminated as no one in my family likes coconut except me.
