4.5 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1.5 cups quick cooking or regular grits
1 roll Kraft garlic cheese (cut in chunks)
1.5 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 stick butter cut into bits
1 cup milk
3 eggs beaten
3 jalapeño peppers, seeded and chopped
1can chopped green chilies
1cup grated sharp cheddar (for topping)
1bag Fritos (crush about 1 cup for topping)


Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, cook grits in water with salt until done. Reduce heat to low and add cheese, butter, milk, and eggs. Stir until smooth and all cheese is melted.

Stir in jalapeños (to taste) and green chilies. Pour into 3 quart greased casserole. Grits can be refrigerated or baked at this point.

If refrigerated, remove and let stand for approximately 30 minutes. Bake for at 350º for 30 minutes; top with 1 cup grated cheese and sprinkle with crushed Fritos. Return to oven and bake for 15 additional minutes or until heated through.

(If you cannot find the garlic cheese, purchase Kraft Old English Cheese spread and add 1 teaspoon garlic powder to the cheese spread.)
