1 pkg. yeast
3 cup scalded and cooled milk
2 cup whole wheat flour (don't sift)
3 tbsp. lard added to hot milk
1 tbsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in hot milk, add remaining ingredients and let rise until double in bulk about 1 hour. Punch down and let rest for 10 minutes before making into loaves. Bake 1 hour at 375º and for 10 minutes at 350º . Makes 2 loaves
