1 box powdered sugar
2 sticks butter
1 stick margarine
3 c. sifted cake flour
6 eggs
1 t. almond extract
1/2 t. mace

Tip: The main thing you do to make this cake a success is to beat it.
Cream the sugar with the butter and margarine until it is very light and fluffy - then cream some more. Add flour and blend well. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well after each. Add extract and mace, mixing well. Pour into an oiled and floured stemmed pan and bake at 350º for one hour. Tip: After pouring the cake into the pan to bake, drop the pan on the floor three times.
