1 C. flour
3/4 C. granulated sugar
2 T. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. milk
2 T. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. nuts, chopped
1 C. brown sugar
1/4 C. cocoa
1 3/4 C. hottest tap water

In ungreased square pan (9 X 9 X 2"), stir together flour, sugar, 2 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork. Add nuts. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 C. cocoa. Pour hot water over batter.

Bake 400º for 40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Invert squares on plate. Spoon sauce over.
