Fruit of choice: apples, cherries, pears, peaches

1 pkg Apricots (Grandbertie preferred; Ma made pear) OR 5 pears, cut up
Pinch nutmeg
1/2 C. sugar
pie dough or 1 can refrigerator biscuits
Vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Cook fruit with sugar until tender and thick. Add nutmeg. Roll pie dough into 8-10 circles or roll a large refrigerator biscuit into a larger circle. Place a heaping T. of cooked fruit into the center of the circle. Fold half the circle over the other half and crimp with a fork to seal the edges of the pie. Placing a small amount of water on the inside edge of the dough will help to seal it shut. Place in hot oil in heavy frying pan. Cook over medium-low heat until dough is brown on both sides.
