1 lb. Italian or bulk pork sausage or ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 T. parsley flakes
1 T. basil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1-pound can (2 cups) tomatoes
2 6-ounce cans (1 1/3 cups) tomato paste
10 oz. lasagna or wide noodles
3 C. cream-style cottage cheese
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 T. parsley flakes
1/2 C. grated Parmesan cheese
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese sliced very thin

Brown meat slowly, spooning off excess fat. Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer uncovered til sauce is thick, stirring occasionally (about 45 to 60 min.).
Cook noodles in boiling salted water til tender; drain and rinse in cold water. Combine cottage cheese with eggs, seasonings and Parmesan. Place half cooked noodles in 13X9X2 inch baking dish. Spread half of cottage cheese mixture over; add half of Mozzarella and half meat sauce. Repeat layers. Bake in moderate oven (375º) for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes; cut in squares.
