4 celery stalks sliced 1" thick
3 TBSP butter
3 TBSP flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. light cream
1 TBSP chicken bouillon
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/2 c. water chestnuts
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese

Topping:
3 TBSP butter
1/2 c. soda cracker crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cook celery in salted water until tender-crisp.

Melt butter and add flour. Stir in water and mix. Gradually add cream and heat until it boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Add chicken bouillon, mushrooms, water chestnuts and almonds. Pour over celery.

Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and topping mixture.

Bake uncovered at 350º for 30 minutes.
