Ingredients: 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) 1 bag of tater tots shredded cheddar cheese 1.5 pound of hamburger meat 3/4 tsp. of curry salt/papper

Directions: |
Directions:Preheat oven to 400. Lay tater tots on the bottom of 9"x13" pan. Place in oven and cook the tater tots until done (slightly brown and crispy).
Brown hamburger meat, drain, and add cream of mushroom soup and curry and stir together and simmer on low for 10 minutes. Salt and pepper mixture lightly.
Place hamburger mixture over top of the tater tots, covering them as much as possible. Sprinkle generously with cheddar cheese and place back into oven. Cook until cheese melts and is golden brown. |

Notes: One of my family’s favorite meals is tater tot casserole. My mom has been making it for years. Somehow my aunt gave the recipe to my mom. It’s one of those comfort foods where we feel loved when my mom makes it. When the casserole comes out of the oven, the melted cheese is as gold as gold itself, and you just can’t wait to dish-up. The tots are crispy almost if burned. The smell of curry makes your nose tingle. My mom always makes tater tot casserole for my brother since it’s his very favorite food. I have many fond memories of having tater tot casserole for all of my brother’s birthdays, many holidays and family get-togethers.
