Personal Notes:
There isn't much to this simple dessert. However, if there is even an ounce of anger or sadness when preparing it, the caramel will not melt as it should, nor would the Kix be as crispy. Sunday in the summer after church, all the kids run up to the cheerful little old lady who always prepared some kind of dessert. The heat of the pleasant sun makes the caramel melt ever so slightly, causing us to gobble up the dessert as to not make too much of a mess. After eating these heart-felt clusters, our souls are filled with the warm rays of sunshine, and we're left in a cheerful mood that passes on to others.
