1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 cup canned milk
1 3/4 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Stir flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa together. Mix melted butter, vanilla and canned milk. Add this to the flour mixture lightly. Add nuts and pour into a buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Combine the brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and put on mixture. Carefully pour boiling water over the batter and bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Garnish with cool whip.

This recipe is from Shirley Woods. She was married to Glen C. Woods, Ola & Bill Woods' youngest child. He died in 2003 from a malignant melanoma. Ola & Bill had 4 children: Dale A Woods (died 1984 heart attack),William Paul Woods, Ruth (Woods) Starkey, and Glen C Woods (died 2003).
