Notes: Since chow mein is not a traditional main course in my family, we treat it like turkey on Thanksgiving. It's the type of dish that you can eat every season. Eating it on a cold day with a hot bowl of soup will be extremely tasty and it warms you up. Eating chow mein while it is fresh out of the kitchen is the best because it's extremely flavorful when it's hot. This is a homemade style dish so there less oil than restaurant’s chow mein.
