2 c. sugar
1 T. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. nuts
2 c. dates
1 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter

*you can substitute the amount of dates for half the amount of persimmons
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except dates and nuts. Simmer in saucepan until it reaches soft ball stage. Add dates. Simmer again to soft ball stage and add nuts. Roll in clean wet cloth. Keep in refrigerator and slice as needed.
