For the microwave: after you wash and dry the sweet potatoes, prick them all over with a fork. Place in the microwave and microwave on high for ten minutes, turning the potatoes 180 degrees after 5 minutes.

I'm not a big fan of sweet potatoes so I'll cook one potato for Dave and me and then we'll each have half. Sweet potatoes are kind of gritty so I get that gagging feeling if I eat too much of one, plus I don't smother them with butter so they are even "gaggier" - that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
