5 qt unsweetened applesauce
10 cups of sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves

Mix all ingredients together. Put in large roasting pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 hours or until thick. Stir every 20 minutes. Pour into jars and seal. Makes approximately 10-12 pints.

This recipe is dedicated to my Maw Maw Dorothy who was so dear in my life. I inherited her laugh which is such a great gift from her :) As a little girl I always remember my grandmother eating apple butter sandwiches and I can taste it now as I write this.
