1 1/2 cups butter
1 cup shortning
1 1/2 sugar
2 tsp almond flavoring
6 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortning, butter, sugar, eggs and almond flavoring together. Add salt and start with 5 cups of the flour. Add just enough of the 6th cup so dough is not sticky. Put into cookie press and make the desired shapes. Add colored sugar if you wish. This makes enough to fill the cookie press about 6 times. Bake 350 for 8 to 10 minutes until edges start to brown. 5 minutes on bottom rack and finish on top while a new pan is on the bottom
