Mom's (Mary's) Goulash Recipe

Ingredients:  
1 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
3 Bay leaves
1 T Basil
3 large cloves garlic minced or grated
Olive Oil
1 medium Onion - chopped
1/2 Green Pepper - chopped
1-1/2 to 2 lbs. hamburger
Garlic salt and pepper
2 cups uncooked macaroni
2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine tomatoes, herbs and garlic in saucepan and place over medium heat to combine.
2. Saute onion and green pepper in olive oil until softened and add to tomato sauce (add some red pepper flakes for some heat, if desired). Lower heat to simmer.
3. Cook macaroni al dente
4. Brown hamburger, add garlic salt and pepper to taste. Add to tomato sauce.
5. Combine all and put in casserole dish
6. Cover with grated cheese
7. Bake in 350º oven approx. 30 minutes, or until bubbly.
