4 to 6 cucumbers (depending on crowd)
1 lg. onion sliced, in rings
3 cups water
1 cup white vinegar
3 to 4 tbsps. white sugar
salt to taste (quite a bit)
heavy pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Peel (or not) and slice cucumbers into lg. bowl.
Add sliced onions, salt and pepper.
Stir and let salt soak in a bit.

Mix water, vinegar and sugar together, taste and see what it might need a little more of.

This is one of those, you have to kind of figure out how sweet or sour you want it. When you get to the desired taste, pour over cukes and chill.
