1 Cup of Molasses
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Crisco
1 Cup of Cold Water
2 Tsp of Cinnamon
2 Eggs
4 Tsp of Baking Soda
1 Tsp of Baking Powder
1 Tsp of Ginger
1/2 Tsp of Salt
5 cups of Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and molasses. Add eggs unbeatened, Sift flour with spices and add alternately with hot water in which the baking soda has been dissolved. Drop on greased baking sheet Bake at 375º for 12 mins.
