1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2-1/2 cups flour

Directions:

Cream butter, add sugar and cream some more. Add egg and mix. Sift baking soda and flour together and mix into the creamed mixture. Flatten out small ball of dough on floured board and roll thin. Cut in desired shapes or leave round. Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown.
