1-1/2 cups Cornmeal
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk (or more, if needed)
Mix all together.

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Put small iron skillet into oven with 1 tbsp oil. When oven reaches its temperature, take out skillet. Pour oil into your mixed cornbread mixture. Carefully put skillet into heated oven. Let cook, without opening oven, for 30 minutes.

If you want to make larger pan of cornbread, just increase your cornmeal to 2-1/2 cups and buttermilk enough to make soupy. Cook same temperature - same amount of time.
