2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1/3 c. vegetable shortening
2/3 c. milk

preheat oven 450º

Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse meal. Quickly stir in milk and knead dough lightly. Roll dough to 1/2 in. thickness on a lightly floured board. Cut into two-inch biscuits. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in very hot preheated oven.(Dough may be stored in refrigerator in tightly covered container up to five days). cook for 12 to 15 minutes at 450 degree's.
