2 Cups flour
1Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 Tsp. salt
1 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup shortening
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. vanilla
1 Cup milk
1/2 Cup brown sugar (firm)
3/4 Cup chopped nuts
1/2 Cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
2 Tbsp. butter (melted)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream sugar and shortening until light. Blend in eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add vanilla to milk and add to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients. Pour into 13x9x2 pan. Combine brown sugar, nuts, chocolate chips and melted butter and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream.
