1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup yellow Crisco
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup (light) brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cup unbleached, unsifted flour
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips
( 1 cup chopped nuts if desired and Grandpa does desire)
Directions:
Directions:
1. cream together butter and crisco
2. add eggs and beat again
3. add sugars and beat
4. add flour and salt and baking soda
5. beat again.
6. stir in vanilla and chips
7. bake at 350 for 9-10 minute or until medium brown
8. eating them while warm is the best
