1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 cups diced cooked roast beef
2 cups boiling water
3 cups cooked vegetables ( use choice of diced Potatoes ,Carrots ,Green beans, Peas etc.)
4 Tbsp Bisto (a gravy sauce powder)
1/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup Ketchup
Pie pastry - to cover an 8 cup casserole

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in butter or margarine until golden brown. Add roast beef and boiling water. Cover and simmer for ten minutes.

Add cooked vegetables and heat thoroughly.
Blend the Bisto powder with cold water and ketchup, stir into meat mixture. Cook stirring constantly until thickened.

Turn into an 8 cup casserole and top with rolled out pie pastry .

Bake at 450ºF until crust is baked and golden .....about 20 minutes.

Good way to use left over roast beef and veggies. Was always enjoyed by our family. Serve with a tossed salad.
