2 c flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cream of tartar (can be omitted as I never have it)
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1/2 c butter
2/3c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the flour, baking powder, tartar, salt and sugar.
Cut in butter with pastry blender.
Add milk all at once and quickly stir in. Turn onto flour sprinkled board, pat smoothly to 3/4 " thickness and cut out with 2" floured cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 450 for 10 min.
Opt: Bake in layer cake tin for 12-15 min. Split into 2 layers and serve with strawberries and whipped cream.
