2 sticks butter, softened
1 pinch of salt
325 grams granulated sugar
5 eggs
5 packets vanilla sugar (3 tsp. vanilla extract + 5-6 pinches of sugar)
1 cup of water
500 grams of self-rising flour

Mix butter, salt, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. Mix vanilla and water and add to mixture. Add flour a little at a time. Cook in waffle iron.

Yes, you have to use a kitchen scale, but these waffles are worth it. Not like anything you've had in the United States. Our exchange student from Belgium taught this recipe to us.
