1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 2 1/2 c. all purpose flour, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1-12oz bag semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350º, In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. In another bowl mix the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips. Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7-10 minutes. Just until edges are light brown.
