1 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 c. vinegar
2 T. canning salt
dill to taste
onion to taste - sliced
Jalapeņos to taste
garlic to taste
carrots to taste - sliced
pickling cucumbers
canning jars

Directions:
Directions:
Add dill, onion, Jalapeņos, garlic, and carrots (to taste) to jars. Cut ends off cucumbers. Add cucumbers (whole, quartered into spears lengthwise, or slices) into jars. Put jars into pot. Add brine (sugar, warm water, vinegar, and canning salt) to jars. Fill pot with water until the water comes to level of ridges of jars and bring to a boil. Boil just until cucumbers turn dull green from bright green. Remove jars and carefully add lids. Turn jars upside down overnight. Refrigerate any unsealed jars. Ready to eat in two weeks.
